My name is Joe Holmes, Unit Leader for Dreigiau’r Mynydd one of Welsh Units going to the World Scout Jamboree in 2019.

Part of our mission for the Jamboree is to share part of our experience with our local Scout Groups. To do this the UK contingent has designed us a number of evenings that are suitable for all sections. That’s Beavers right through to Network.

Activities include:

Tepee making, Bear cookies, Learning about the Mexican day of the Dead and many more.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

So as you step forward with your programme planning, don’t forget to please keep us in mind. We hope that for you leaders it will be an easy evening. All we ask for is that your section covers the cost of any materials we use up on the evening.  Also that you allow the unit members who come and help run the evening to sell fundraising Items. Examples of the things they might bring are there Unit badge £3, or a duck woggle or alike.

If you would like to book an evening, please email me on joe.holmes@scoutscymru.co.uk We will need to know the date you are looking for. The time of your meeting and how many young people you have in your section.

We are blessed in Cardiff in the Vale to be covered by two Jamboree Units.  Dreigiau’r Mynydd Lead by me & The Welsh Baabarians, Lead by Brianne Evans.

We are going to work together to cover these events.  To make it as easy as possible, I will coordinate between those attending your evening.

On behalf of all of those involved in the World Scout Jamboree in 2019 we thank you for your ongoing support as we go on this journey.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch.

Cheers

Joe and Bee
