We’re Scouts and everyone is welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds.
Every week we bring youngsters in our community aged 6 – 14 the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.
Bringing skills for life to Roath since 1935
Teeth-gritting, keep-on going, summit-reaching, belly-laughing Monday and Tuesday nights - every week in term time at Tŷ Scowtio.
We are based in the heart of Plasnewydd, nestled between Albany Road and City Road.
independence
We’re honest, we try to do the right thing (even if no-one’s watching), and we stay true to ourselves. We learn to do our own thing under our own steam.
resilience
We try, try again and keep getting back at it, however many times we fall down. When you need a plan B, you’ll be glad of that orienteering badge.
teamwork
We muck in and play our part. We work with others to change the world for the better, making friends along the way.
empathy
We try to see everyone's side. We’re thoughtful of people’s feelings and values. We treat others as we'd like to be treated ourselves.
